Lysa Mullady

Lysa has been working as an elementary school counselor for 35 years. School counseling is her passion, and she finds joy in sharing her knowledge at the college level.

She has been teaching at Mercy University for two years as an adjunct professor. In addition to her work in education, she is a published children's book author through Magination Press, an imprint of the American Psychological Association.

Lysa earned her teaching degree at SUNY Oneonta and spent two years in the classroom before pursuing her master’s degree in School Counseling at Long Island University. Along the way, she gained experience in a mental health setting, counseling children from families struggling with addiction.

With her extensive experience, she brings valuable insight into how the curriculum applies in real-world counseling settings. She takes great pleasure in inspiring the next generation of counselors.
