Robert Adamo

Robert Adamo started here at Mercy in September 1997, specifically teaching a focus of forensic science. He retired from the Westchester County Forensic Lab under the Medical Examiner’s Office in 2000 after serving from 1980 to 2000. In the last 12 years of his tenure, he was the Director of the laboratory. Prior to that, he worked as an analyst in the Trace Evidence and Biology sections and later supervised these sections before becoming Director.

Robert is currently a member of the Northeastern Association of Forensic Scientists, where he previously served as President, and the International Association for Identification.

His past professional affiliations include the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and the American Board of Criminalistics, where he served on the Board of Directors as the NEAFS representative for four years. He also holds D-ABC certification as both an analyst and a Director.
