Mercy’s Irina Ellison Named Vice President of the NRHC

Irina Ellison, Ph.D., co-director of the Honors Program, program head and associate professor of Health Science at Mercy College, has been named vice president of the Executive Board of the Northeast Regional Honors Council (NRHC).

Dr. Ellison, thrilled to bring her passion for and experience with interdisciplinary education, service learning and building human connections to NRHC, will serve a four-year term ascending from vice resident to president-elect, president and immediate past president for the council. 

“This is a great opportunity for all of us involved in honors here at the College and my hope is that this position allows the Mercy College Honors Program to increase its regional and national involvement in the Honors community!” said Ellison.
